Putting relationships at the heart of the organisation and design of our schools
Human Scale Education works directly with schools and parents to promote human scale learning environments where children and young people are known and valued as individuals. We believe that ‘humanity of scale’ and the ‘primacy of relationships’ should not only inform the design of our schools but should also influence all public sector services.
We believe a schooling system based on human scale principles would make it possible to:
- develop smaller learning environments
- provide a bedrock for innovations in pedagogy,
- have an impact on social justice
- foster schools which are rooted in families and communities.
