Free Schools

The Human Scale Education Movement is currently working to support two new Free Schools.

The Swanage School

In October 2011, the Department for Education approved 79 new Free Schools including The Swanage School. The Human Scale Education Movement will be working in partnership with Education Swanage and the Cooperative College to help them develop as a Human Scale School. You can read more about their news here.

The Swanage School is a secondary school founded by and for the community, combining local learning with a global outlook in one of England’s finest natural environments. The school will be modelled on a ‘human scale’ to deliver bespoke education within a normal state school budget.
